More Cake Pops

Okay everyone, Cake Pops are the newest hottest thing in the Cake Decorating Industry.  Mine have been a huge hit here in Mount Dora.  I still have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming. It is still so unreal.

Just so all of you know, I am going to debut new flavors (plus some of the old favorites) and all new-never before seen-designs!  It is going to be incredible!  If you want to see it in person, I would suggest you buy a ticket for the 10th Annual Taste in Mount Dora at www.mountdora.com and go to the online store.

In the meantime I have been a busy little bee and testing out some new designs.  One of which I did with the help of my Cake Pop book by Bakearella.  She is fabulous!  The set of Cake Pops below, I did for two friends who are new Premier Designs Sales People and were having their first sales party.  I am told that my Cake Pops were a huge hit!  They were a lot of work, but as you can see they were fantastic!


The next set of Cake Pops that I did were for fun.  I did these for a group of ladies called "The Frogs".  They are a quilting group that my mom belongs too and since I have moved to Mount Dora, they have been so gracious to include me in their gatherings and treat me like a "Frog Lady" too.  They loved these and even asked for one to eat and one to keep.  Good thing I made extra!

The Holy Land Experience Christmas Party Cake

Wow! This sucker was huge!  I had so much fun making this cake, but it was such a challenge to get it done. Between decorating and covering this cake in fondant, and helping my husband manage a moving sale we were having that morning, I got it done. I bought an 18" round cake pan and it didn't even fit in my oven (I used a towel to cover the oven and keep the heat in while it baked), and it didn't fit in my fridge once I put one layer of fondant on it! I ended up putting the cake in a box in the garage - thank you God, it was freezing cold outside (47 degrees fahrenheit) that day and I could do that. Mom Bod Overhall

I am a mom. My body shows the track marks of carrying two babies to term.  My weight is not what it once was before these precious gifts from God. It is time to change that, to put myself first for an hour or so a day. My babies are not babies anymore, they are teenagers now, on the cusp of manhood. Where did the time go? It feels like just yesterday that I was holding them in my arms, breathing in their baby smell, watching them sleep. I always put my family first, that is what a wife and stay at home mom does. But it is time that I get healthy and happy with my body again.  Don’t get me wrong, my body is amazing, it is a survivor, a fighter and I am immensely proud of that.  However, my body has become the “Mom Bod” that I hoped it never would.
