Pool Party Frog Cupcakes

My mom is a member of a quilting group that calls themselves "The Frogs".  I have become a member as well, and these ladies are some of the most caring and funny group of women I have ever come across.  
Last week, it was one of The Frogs's birthday, so I was asked to supply the cake.  The only requirement? It had to be chocolate!  The party was going to be a pool party, so I knew that I wanted a casual feel to the cake, thus cupcakes!
What you see below are my cute Pool Party Frog Cupcakes! They are Dark Chocolate Cake with Marshmallow Buttercream and topped with a cute frog face inside a pool ring (both made out of fondant).  I had so much fun making them and all the "Frog Ladies" thought they were just the cutest thing!

Wow! This sucker was huge!  I had so much fun making this cake, but it was such a challenge to get it done. Between decorating and covering this cake in fondant, and helping my husband manage a moving sale we were having that morning, I got it done. I bought an 18" round cake pan and it didn't even fit in my oven (I used a towel to cover the oven and keep the heat in while it baked), and it didn't fit in my fridge once I put one layer of fondant on it! I ended up putting the cake in a box in the garage - thank you God, it was freezing cold outside (47 degrees fahrenheit) that day and I could do that. Mom Bod Overhall

I am a mom. My body shows the track marks of carrying two babies to term.  My weight is not what it once was before these precious gifts from God. It is time to change that, to put myself first for an hour or so a day. My babies are not babies anymore, they are teenagers now, on the cusp of manhood. Where did the time go? It feels like just yesterday that I was holding them in my arms, breathing in their baby smell, watching them sleep. I always put my family first, that is what a wife and stay at home mom does. But it is time that I get healthy and happy with my body again.  Don’t get me wrong, my body is amazing, it is a survivor, a fighter and I am immensely proud of that.  However, my body has become the “Mom Bod” that I hoped it never would.
